Changes

Marked Get/SetTriangleStrip on Mesh as obsolete
Scripting: Development player emits warnings when accessing the script API from the wrong thread (or using explicit object initializers).

Fixes

Shaders: Fixed compile errors in some cases where custom directional lightmap lighting function is used.
UnityObject: The default templates works nicely over https now.
UnityObject: Running a offline build locally will not break the default templates.
Android: Fixed an optimization error which could cause javac to crash/fail when loading UnityPlayer class.

The following are changes and fixes to 4.0 features and regressions...



Improvements

DX11: Added ComputeShader.SetInt, SetFloats. Scripting documentation for ComputeBuffer class.
Linux: Added support for "Universal" x86/x86_64 builds.
Flash : New attribute "NotFlashValidated" stops the validator from stopping compilation if it can't validate the method or type.

iOS: new default splashscreens

Fixes

DX11: Fixed crashes in some cases when ComputeShader/ComputeBuffer was used in DX10 level hardware.
Lightmapping: Made Bake Selected set proper texture importer settings for new lightmaps and preserve the ones for existing lightmaps.
Shuriken: Fixed wrong behaviour when emitting negative amount of particles.
Editor: Fixed harmless error message when project has overriden terrain shaders.
Editor: Fix domain reload issue with Object Picker when used to set properties on scripts
Editor: Project Browser
Fix so corrupted assets can be deleted from the project browser
Fix Select All issue in One Column mode
Fix drop down type and label list had filter settings from previous project
Fix null ref when creating an asset from the top menu in a project browser that had never been rendered
Fix project window tab icon
Editor: Copy pasting of components between prefabs could cause unity to crash
IMGUI: Fix GUI matrix sometimes getting applied twice to mouse position.
Flash IUnityContent.setPosition can be used to offset the mouse coordinates of the embdedded unity flash content.
Flash Inline delegates that create closures are now converted properly.
Flash Fixed generic support for static properties that return generic types.
Flash When a delegate is invoked, it can add and remove delegates from the event that fired it.
Flash assembly validator no longer checks types or methods marked with [NotConverted]
Flash Workaround for chrome / Flash Pepper plugin WWW issues.
Flash RectOffset now correctly serialized.
Mac OS X Standalone: Fix minimized player window to stay minimized.
Editor: Add support for architecture-specific plugin directories for Linux standalone players (Plugins/x86, Plugins/x86_64).
Editor: Fix display size of header icons in lightmapper.
Linux: Disable keyboard autorepeat.
Linux: Make substance baking produce the same output on linux-x86_64 as on linux-x86
Linux: Clean up "Powered by Unity" in the splash screen
Linux: Don't perform an extra blit when running fullscreen at native resolution
Linux: Support downscaled fullscreen mode with forward rendering + FSAA
Linux: Log to ~/.config/unity3d/Company/Product/Player.log instead of Product_Data/output_log.txt
iOS: Fixed initial splash orientation in forced orientation scenario
iOS: Fixed crash when unlocking phone after it was locked while playing video
iOS: Fixed case when on awake Camera.pixelWidth and pixelHeight report wrong dimensions
License: Fixed XML encoding and escaping issues which caused activation failures.
